Chase.com | Ultimate Rewards Uplifts — Pay Yourself Back
In this "60 Seconds with Leaders" video, former Chase Chief Design Office Kaaren Hanson calls out Pay Yourself Back as her favorite JPMC product.
I worked on the content design uplift for this experience, which allows customers to choose up to 12 recent purchases to "cover" with their credit card points. “PYB” was introduced in 2020 as an alternative redemption option to travel, as customers were unable to take full advantage of the value of their Chase Sapphire cards. At a similar value to travel, rewards points can be redeemed for a statement credit for purchases made in rotating eligible categories, or during promotional periods.
The goals of the uplift were to simplify redemption instructions, streamline and update UX to comply with recent design system changes, and reduce customer confusion during the redemption confirmation steps.
